The last weekend in July stands for one thing in the Malmesbury area....WOMAD! WOMAD is the festival of world music, art and dance. This will be my third year and I love it! It's a great family festival and is great for our local community.
You get a few known acts but no big "head liners" but that's a great thing because you discover new bands. The festival runs workshops over the weekend for all ages and ends with a carnival for the children. There is a variety of food, stalls and rides to choose from and it's an overall great weekend! I've been busy writing kit lists and preparing this week and it's been great fun. It's the first time the rest of my family have been for the weekend and we're all camping together with the added member my best friend!
I'm extremely excited and the whether forecast looks good! I will hopefully doing daily blog posts so keep an eye out! If I don't post them I'll draft them all and edit when I get home. I will do a review and a festival guide when I return!
